Can't fall asleep at night?!


Question: I am having a lot of trouble falling asleep at night. I try but it is very difficult. I try some warm milk, counting, nothing has been working. On the weekends however, I fall asleep easily. Any tips on what to do? I always worry before bed that I won't fall asleep....

Also i do not want to take any pills or medicine.....thanks!

i've had problems like that for quite a while, and at night i would start to "talk" to myself in my mind and that can last for a very long time, then i would "tell" myself, **** i should be sleeping, then that'd last spark off something else in my mind then it would carry on

one way i found which can make my sleeping pattern to be normal is by getting into a good sleeping routine, waking up early in the morning allows me to go to bed at night at reasonable time. and ofcourse that's what you can't do at the moment. the other thing i found very helpful is by exercising during the day, i do boxing twice a week, and i realise that the day i have my session, i can fall asleep that night within 5 minutes with no difficulties. so i guess you should trying exercising properly, so that you're physically tired, promise that will work.

if i cant sleep, i read untill i can keep my eyes opened. Then ill fall asleep but wake up in about a minute after i turn off the lights. If then i cant go to sleep, i read until lthe same thing happens.. Goodluck!
