Ingrown Toenail, help??!
Question: I've never had an ingrown toenail before, but yesterday I went for a 2 hour walk and later in the evening the side of my toe started to hurt. I didn't think anything of it, as I've gotten sore toes from walking lots before, but this morning when I woke up its red and puffy...spreads down the whole side of my toenail, and it stings so bad I cannot touch it. Does this sound like an ingrown toenail? And if so, what are some ways to ease the pain a bit, and how to I fix it, and when do I need to see the doctor?

Make an appointment with your regular doctor. Soak your toe in warm water 2 times a day with epsom salts. Dry your feet and toes really well, apply neosporin and put on clean socks.
Don't dig for the nail or pick at it. Personally, I would make an appointment with a podiatrist, as they are food specialists and have a better understanding of nails and toes in general.
