Broken finger or hand?!
Question: Basically last night my hubby and I were play fighting and somehow my fingers, mostly my index finger, hit his hand with a lot of force and I hard this incredibly loud cracking noise ... Then this really bad feeling of pain shot up my hand clear to my neck and the pain was so bad I wanted to puke....
Well the fingers didn't look broken and my hand looks okay ... I can't really tell if anything is broken or not ... Theres only light bruising and my hands really swollen especially my knuckle which is starting to show bruising and is twice the size of the one of my other had ... I can't bend any of my fingers but my thumb without pain shooting up my arm ....
So umm yeah how could I tell if its broken without going to the doctor? I really have no way of getting to the doctor at this moment without an ambulance and it seems stupid to call one if I just broke my finger...

Sounds like its broken...did the same thing cleaning my house once...I was doing something and slammed my hand against a counter..clumsy. My very first broken bone and it just had to be my stupid pinky. Just pack it in ice...take some pain med. and either wait til your Dr's office opens to go in or go on to the ER. It need to be X-rayed to see how bad it is and get it either braced or you may have to have surgery if its severe. Lots of luck dear know how it feels.
Sounds like it's broken to me. Try waiting a while, if you can't go to the doctors :/

Um ouch! I'm pretty sure its broken or maybe it just came out of place and went back in or some thing like that.
If its too sore to touch or you cant move it it proboly is broken,ice it on and off every 2 hours,the ice will help the pain and the swelling.
This could be a dislocated finger. I had a broken finger when I was young and my father figure out it was broken by pulling my finger back until it was obviously going farther than it normally would. No matter what you probably should see the doctor, it's the safest thing to do.
Well you have done something. I bet it took you a long time to type that if your hand hurts so bad. I have broke my hand I am not saying you have broke yours but you have done something.When I broke my hand I could not get ride of the pain only with pain meds. And it was a deep hurt All the way up to my elbow.I would try to find a way to get to the hospital. It is going to to be bad if you have broke it and you have stayed at home this long. Try to find a way to the hospital!!! I hope you have not broke it..
try putting some ice on it. if the swelling doesn't go down, then it may be broken. or you can touch it and see if you really puke, that might confirm that it's broken.
