My scab won't heal, why?!

Question: i think i was getting a zit on my back or something and it felt HUGE like the size of my pinky .. maybe a tad smaller. but not kidding.. and naturally i start trying to get the crap out but because it was on my back really hard to get to. anyways. so i tried drying it out with stuff but instead it just hurts a lot and won't heal over. usually once something is opened, zit or not, it becomes a scab by the next day.. and its not.. i dont know what to do.. IT HURTS (and its still big too). and a little swollen

First off, gross.

It could be a number of things, perhaps a mild infection, perhaps it is just taking longer to heal because it was large. Try bandaging it with some antiseptic ointment. It is never a good idea to 'pick at' and open acne. Try taking a very hot shower as well. This helps to open the pores. Slow healing wounds can also be the sign of an underlying illness like diabetes. If it takes more than a week to heal up, I would let a medical professional know. Hope you feel better soon!

because your a scabby slob!

It will go away in time, if it bugs you enough go to a dermatologist.

it is infected use some topcal antbiotic

go to the doctor!

use some neosporin and a band aid- and leave it alone for a while- every time you touch it you will irritate it more

You probably still have something in it and that is why it hurts. You need to get someone to help you and look at it and make sure everything is out in order for it to heal.

see a doctor. dermatologist actually. it could be the mercer virus. be careful.

You should have it checked, it might have been a mole, and that's not good if it was a mole.

If you are talking a few days, give it more time and leave it alone. if it still won't heal you may have gotten it infected and if bad enough could need antibiotics.
If we are talking several weeks and it hasn't healed you may need to be checked for Diabetes as that is one of the signs, injuries that won't heal.
And people... just cause you have a pimple or a bump doesn't mean it has to be popped.... jeese!!
