Do you have any tips for sleeping in?!


Question: I swear I have a problem-it doesn't matter what time I go to bed I still wake up at 7am. On Holidays its like 9am. The longest I have ever slept in for was 10am. And I'm a teenager (???) I have a friend that can sleep in till 5pm!

So yeah-help me sleep in lol ;D I'm not tired during the day or anything...

hang thick blankets on the windows to trick yourself into thinking it is still night. also take all the clocks out of your sight. i work night shift work and had to learn how to sleep in the daytime. i also have a white noise machine in my room to fool my natural circadian rhythm

usually the sun wakes you up. get an eye mask, they are kinda weird at first, but you get used to them.

I have this problem too. It just means you are a morning person. There is nothing wrong with getting up early. Yes, it is a pain especially if you sleep over at someone elses house and you are the first one up. Just be glad that once you get into the working world you will have no problem getting up and going about your day.

due you should be thankful of ur metabolism. between dancing way too much and going to school in all. in fact im guessing the day u do manage to sleep in a few extra hours your body will feel drained and exhausted. i know b/c i have an extremely high metabolism, so i get 5 to 6 hours. anything more than that and i feel as tho i over slept and then my day is never good cause i feel half asleep for the rest of the day

You`re lucky to have asked the right person. I have insomnia, and don`t get much sleep at all. As you say, you don`t feel sleepy during the day, after no sleep at night, don`t let that fool you, as a person without enough sleep is not acting at top capacity. ask your folks about letting you take an anti- histamine tablet. There is a sleep aid in it. Then see a doctor, they can arrange for a sleep analysis for you to find the cause.
