You shouldn't hide anything from him/her. If they ask questions you need to answer honestly. If this will be your first adjustment it will probably hurt (not too bad, just a little discomfort), but you shouldn't avoid going again--in the long run you will only feel better.

Wear clean underwear.

Be honest about whats going on and don't exaggerate the pain. Make sure that you do all the exercises that they give you. It will help the problem go away alot faster and heal properly

Good luck, I don't trust them.

get all nicey nice incase the chiropractor is hot!!

?

advise? Relax! He's not going to break anything that's not supposed to break. the only time a chiropractor actually hurt me was when I was tense, and didn't tell him. they have very effective ways of relaxing you before they begin.

Ask him/her at what point would they refer you to a medical doctor for treatment? The data supports chiropractic medicine (or physical therapy) for back pain treatment. However, many chiropractors believe they can treat many other ailments and conditions and that isn't correct. You just need to be aware of this going in.

Its probably after you appointment time now but I do have some advice. Just be very careful and make sure you have researched the chiropractor before you let him touch you. I didn't do much checking into the one that I saw and I ended up in the emergency room and have had continued problems ever since.
