I like drifting off listening to the screaming of the ghost of the tormented soul who was bricked up in our fireplace 300 years ago!

I always think about swimming lol

i have such a hard time sleeping but the only thing that helps is what you said and thinking about ONE thing only

like for example i think of opening a bottle cap over and over again

Its hard for me too. I listen to my ipod and some heavy rock music and I sing to it lol. It wears me out. If you dont have access to music, get a book. It sounds original but it helps.

if they loosen my straight jacket that helps

The sound of my heartbeat after a nice long love session.

i just day dream... think about the impossible, and before i know it i wake up.

the noise of the wind howling outside helps me sleep

I think about how much I wish I was asleep but then it keeps me awake so then I try to read and it keeps me awake even more. If I lay in bed and really try to go to sleep. I get bored and can't sleep.
Lets say I have insomnia.

TRY DOING SOME MEDITATION TO REST YOUR MIND,OR SAY TO YOUR SELF," I AM GOING TO SLEEP NOW".

Some nice gentle music

I like the sound of rain too, then I close my eyes and think about whatever, then eventually it becomes easier to leave your eyes closed than it is to open them, that's how I know I'm about to fall asleep

Sometimes I just get up and exercise.

Count sheep!!!

It DOES work! ..... Amazing how many sheep i can fit into my bedroom!!!

It really depends on my mood in general

hi are you a light sleeper? well maybe if you have a night light you can try a blue colour light! cause i try before and it do help. you can also try lighting a aroma candle before you sleep. but please remember to put out the aroma candle before you fall asleep. as for the aroma candle you can try using lavendar or other type that is soothing to you... you can also try drinking a glass of warm milk one hour before you go to bed.. or always before you sleep, please do try to empty your stomach or urine before you sleep. dont want you to wake up and go to the restroom in middle of your sleep..
or you can also do it the mr. bean way, by counting sheeps...
