Is it weird to see a kid with a walking cane?!
Question: okay, i have hm... a hip and leg and feet problem..
im 17 at the moment.
i can't really walk and it hurts every time. should I get a walking cane before my surgery? Because I don't know when my surgery will be to be exact, and during this time, I want to get a walking cane to make it more comfortable for my feet especially and hips...
I don't want to be in a wheelchair though.
Hence, BOTH FOOT and LEG and HIPS hurt!! It has a time interval, sometimes on side hurts, sometimes the other.

Also tomorrow i have an english presentation, and I have to stand up for 20 minutes, but I can't stand that long and my teacher doesn't know about my condition. So should I tell him and ask him if I can sit and present??? D: ...

nah tell the teacher and you should use a cane or crutches if it hurts, who cares what other people say...right?
No it isn't weird to see a kid walking with a cane. Ive had to walk with a cane for a year (I'm 14). If you have bilateral trouble it might be best to use crutches. Yes the cane is beautiful. You should ask your surgeon/doctor if you should use a cane. Canes are good but usually only help one side, It also takes a while to get the feel of using a cane and actually get relief from using it. You need to tell your teacher about your condition--especially if you will be in worse pain for standing for a long period of time. A wheelchair might be best if sitting is good for you. My sweety i feel your pain,by the grace of God i will always keep you in prayer. It is never too weird to see a child with a WALKING CANE because it is due to the conditions that the person is going through that leads to the usage of a walking cane. I want you to say this every time you experience the pains:

You must believe in God and trust him that the pain will go away.
Okay, delayed reply but better late than never (I hope you kicked *** on your presentation and your teacher should have let you sit definitely).
Canes are cool. You can use them as a weapon if anybody tries to mess with you hehe ^^
I had a hip operation when I was 14 and had to be on crutches at school for a year. It's really annoying but it does alleviate the pain a lot. I had 2 slipped upper femoral epiphesis or something like that, where the bones slips out of the hip sockets. I don't know what sort of problem you have but I suggest the sooner the surgery the less likelihood of future complications.
