its probably something called a limpthnode... i dont know much about them or even if i spelled it right but they have something to do with the movement of the fluid in your body... if you sleep in bed for a long time your sore cause your limphnodes are swollen... i get that when ever i run or wrestle... i could be wrong

Have you had your ears pierced lately, or maybe a slight infection in an old piercing??

sounds like your gland is swollen my daughter had one once the doctor called it a pea gland..i assume because it was around the same size..was nothing..she was going thru a cold she didnt have an ear infection...and it went away

It could either be a lymph node or a boil. A buddy of mine used to get boils right behind his ear similar to what you're describing. The doctor can drain it and it will go away. Either way, don't worry, it doesn't sound serious.

sounds like it could be a swollen lympthnode. Sometimes your lympthnodes in your neck will swell a week or two before you take on a cold. But to be on the safe side, have it checked to be sure.

Well it's not a lympth node those things hurt!! it's probably just a swollen gland. My daughter has that too, and that's what the Doctor said it was. the way he explained it to her (she's 9) he said sometimes when you get an infection of some kind your gland will swell to let you know that something is infected, then sometimes itjust forgets to shrink back to it's normal size.......

I'm glad you are going to make a doctor appointment it's always good to get these things checked out!
Good luck!

I get that every time I let myself get a little bit rundown. Then I usually end up with a cold or something. I've looked it up and it is a lymph node, some people call is a swollen gland. You have lymph nodes basically all over your entire body. A lot of people have the ones under their jaw get swollen up when they have sore throats. Usually when it happens to me its painful but it only lasts a couple of days. If you've had it for a while it probably would be a good idea to go ahead and make an appt. just to be on the safe side. =)

Sounds like your lymph nodes, it could indicate a lymph node infection or it could be an early sign of Cancer...CONSULT A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY!!

It could be a small lymph node. They are located in many places on the body including all over the neck. They usually don't hurt unless you have an infection. Also, it could be a small fatty growth called a lipoma. They are round and don't usually hurt either. There are other things it could be too, so seeing your doctor will narrow it down. By the sounds of it, it is probably something benign. Good luck
