I have had several surgeries over the past few years. I am sensitive to latex and the suture material used in the first surgery.
My last three surgeries have been successfully treated with the following: dissolving sutures (material tested pre-surgery, butterfly bandages on skin surface (replaced for three days, when the old ones start peeling off) and neosporin applied twice a day.
This worked with good result through two thyroid and one partial mastectomy.
Good luck and good health! Hope this helped.

I can understand your apprehension but really your case is best discussed at length with your doctor alone, not here in Answers. You will only get more confused. Good luck!
