Gymnastics with "nurses elbow"?!

Question: When my daughter was a baby and toddler, she had what doctors called "nurses elbow" (I think that's how they pronounced it). She was at the doctors or hospital atleast 6 times in a few year span that I can remember and they just popped her elbow back in place. She is now 13 and doing gymnastics. When she tumbles and does her back flips, the same elbow pops often. It pops back into place on its own. Sometimes it's loud enough to hear. Although it's not as painful as it was when she was a young child, it still hurts her a little. I see her holding it after she flips. Has anyone experienced this at an older age? Is this something that will bother her "forever"? Any suggestions as to what we can do to help or fix the problem?

It's quite unusual for this to last past about the age of 4.
I suggest that you take her to see her pediatrician and have her elbow checked out thoroughly. It is possible that there is an underlying problem that needs to be addressed.
