Analgesic overuse worries?!

Question: In the last 7 days I have been taking a mixture of Paracetamol, Ibuprofen and other strong painkillers prescribed by my doctors for serious back pain. Today I feel sick and cannot face food. My stomach is distended, bloated and sore.
Have I caused irreparable damage to my stomach lining or will it recover?

Expert well-informed advice only please.

Diclofenic Sodium is an excellent painkiller especially when taken with Paracetamol. You are taking the correct doses so no problem there. As a Non Steriodal Anti-Inflammatory Drug Diclofenic can cause gastric irritation. Try taking Ranitidine 150mg per day this should help greatly. (Zantac) You will recover no worries.

This can happen if you have a weak stomach or if you suffer from acidic/reflux problems, there are medications that can be prewscribed for you that aren't so harsh on your stomach. You do need to talk to your doctor and explain what is happening. I know I have to be careful what I take as I have acidic problems and a weakish stomach.
I hope this helps a little, for some relief try a warm bath with epsom salts in,and a good massage oil blend with healing properties and relaxants in,(from a health food store), this worked for me to relax the muscles around the injured areas.I just take the pain kiilers at night so I can get a bit of sleep.
Good Luck and God Bless

without knowing what the 'other strong painkillers' are we can't really advise. More info if you can please.

These medications can have serious side effects, including damage to the stomach lining. It is likely that it will heal, but you may need medical treatment. Severe abdominal pain is considered a medical emergency. Please call your doctor immediately. Depending on the severity of your stomach pain, you may want to go to the emergency room. The distention could likely be caused by bloating. However, without knowing more about the severity of your symptoms, I can't say that's all it is. Somtimes medications that damage the stomach lining can cause bleeding. If you vomit blood or have bloody stools, go to the emergency room. However, another possibility is severe constipation. Narcotic painkillers often lead to constipation, which would also cause pain and distention. If you have not had frequent bowel movements, this could be the problem. You should always drink a lot of water when you take these meds to prevent constipation and dry mouth.

What is a long time..months..years? And for what ailment? To diagnose as a physician or other heath care professional without having at minimum, a health history, a visual.. let alone further Diagnostics is unethical ....Not even a Visual..etc..no can do!! Consult your Health Care Professional ASAP!! My Best to YOU...May you heal faster than you Broke...Hugs, hope, Health and Happiness

That question can really only be answered by your primary care physician. Even another physician, just responding to your statements without giving you an actual evaluation, and seeing the progression you've experienced over the course of treatment, wouldn't be able to give you a good, unqualified answer.

Aside from returning to your doctor right away, what I can suggest is that you consider some nutritional support for both your back and your stomach. Vitamin B-complex and digestive enzymes are great support for stomach issues. Calcium and Glucosamine and a multivitamin formula are good for the back pain. The multivitamin ensures that the other nutrients are balanced and allows your body to more effectively matabolize nutrients. I found a website that carries a great line of nutrition and also has a free online health survey that asks questions about your health, then gives a personalized recommendation of nutritional support. https://www.marketamerica.com/maudClarke...
