Foot pain a month later??!

Question: I tripped over something and fell (on a sidewalk) about a month ago. The inner part of one foot (near the ankle) hurts only when I walk on it for an hour. Is this a bad sign, or will my foot just take a really long time to heal completely? I'm a 29 yr old female.

Honestly there are many possible answers but what concerns me is the fact that there are more bones in your foot than in the whole rest of your body. I doubt you broke it if you had shoes on but there is a remote chance depending how you landed. You could have bruised the bone. You could have a cyst on the inside there. There could be a bone spur. The best advice because it's not obvious is to get an x-ray of the foot from the top & bottom angles to see what you can find out. Your feet lead to back & spine problems, hip problems too if you don't take care of them. This site is useful for tips as well> http://www.webmd.com/
Really though, be safe & avoid more pain. You don't want to make it worse waiting for it to go away. I've known many people who do & they have paid dearly for it in the long run. 2 had to have their bones in their feet broken in surgical precedures to fix the problems. It would have been a couple hundred had they gone in & it turned into thousands for both.
Hope you feel better soon & hope this helps.
