Stomach Pain Upper Left, I have a sharp pain on the upper left side of my stomac!
Question: I was sleeping for about 5 hours when I woke up with a sharp pain in my stomach, I know its not appendix as that is on the other side and lower but I don't know what it could be and I am a pretty heavy sleeper so to wake me up was pretty severe

might be an ulcer or just mere unproper degestion.. if its still painful after 12 hours u might wana see the doctors to be on the safer side!

If the pain persists for more than 12 hours,Consult a physician. I had pluracy once, by the time I made it Doctor felt like heart attack symptoms, as they are described.
It never reached my left arm, that is why waited, but it sure hurt.
Could be something as simple as indigestion, or gas or fluid in the lungs. Well fluid in the lungs is not really simple, make an appointment if the pain persists.
Sounds like diverticulitis - see your physician.
