Threw up while kinda sleeping?!

Question: okay so it was a very COLD FREEZING night .
and i'm weird i usually drink cold drinks during the cold weather anyway.
so then that morning, i hate grapefruit.
then that night, i drank orange juice and it was EXTREMELY cold cause my fridge was on the coldest choice.
and then i was wearing like 3 layers AND a thick blanket.
my stomach kinda felt like i was hungry.
then i fell asleep.
when i woke up, later that night i felt like i was about to throw up.
like it was all up my throat.
and then before i was able to run to the bathroom, i threw up all over the floor.
and it was orange/yellow with pink/red grapefruit .
so nasty.
what do you think caused this? is it cause i got food poisoning or the cold orange juice?
i felt fine the next day, dont feel like throwing up anymore.
hhm
k thanx

This kind of sounds like you had an acid reflux attack. Acid reflux can occur in the middle of the night and make you feel like you need to vomit. Drinking super acidic things like orange juice probably was he cause of this. Next time it happens try taking a Tums or something like that. This should neutralize the acid that has worked its way up your esophagus making you feel like you need to vomit. Good Luck

In addition to the acid reflux attack suggestion, try to avoid drinking acidic drinks before bed, it is bad for you on so many levels. Water is a better alternative. Just a tip =)
