If more people would take the time to REPORT bad dentists and doctors to their disciplinary bodies, there would be FAR FEWER of them!!!
It costs NOTHING to file a report. Their practise is investigated and licenses are revoked for more serious offences. Otherwise they pay fines, are forced to take courses, have to purchase better equipment, there are mandatory sabbaticals, etc.
For a dentist, try 1-800-dentist. and for a doctor, ask around. You can usually get a good suggestion from a local pharmacist.
I've yet to figure this complex problem out too. It's hard to find a good doctor out there. My favorite doctor is my surgeon. Try looking for someone who is board certified or who has been practicing for many years. Go for a "consultation" to see if you like him. He should have a good bedside manner, listen to you, and takes your problems seriously.
