Beetle bite swelling, is it dangerous? what should i do?!
Question: My boyfriend got bit by a beetle, it's black and is the size of my pinky's nail. It immediately started bleeding and swelling and the redness spread a little from the bite. Is it something I should worry about? What should I do?
I have already applied an alcohol wipe before bandaging it, but are not sure if it's doctor worthy... please help!!

i would apply a cold pack to the site of the bite. i would say after 2 days, if it is still swolen and red, i would bring him to the triage area at your local emergency department. if you dont know the type of insect, i would say that is you best bet and not to take chances
Call his doctor anyays, even if its nothing, it cannot hurt 2 check it out!
Just keep checking it to see if there are any changes (for example more swelling or bleeding.) If these changes occur this is when i would go and seek medical advice immediately because in reality you dont know what the bug was so it could have been anything. In the meantime, apply ice to the swelling to ease that, clean the area as you have done with an alcohol wipe and keep it bandaged to keep dirt and other infectious things out of the wound.
