I'm numb all over, as if i took a really strong pain killer, what might be c!

Question: When it first appeared late monday night I thought it was because of sleep deprivation, but It didn't go away after i slept. However I hadn't gotten an adequate amount of sleep that time, so then i missed school the next day to catch up on sleep. But it still didn't go away. I went to my doctor and he doesn't know what's causing it (he said it could be a disease which i forget the name of but a major symptom of that is weakness and I've managed to run track everyday despite my lack of sleep and numbness), and i Have to see a neurologist. What might be causing this? Could it be something serious?
The numbness is mostly on my arms legs and chest, but also on my face (particularly my nose), and my stomach is also slightly numb.
