Pain in my throat while eating?!
Question: Sometimes while i am eating, i get this feeling in my throat that hurts. Like to the point where i sit there and hold it for like 30 seconds, it feels like my throat is closing up or something. I've had this for a while, but never quite this bad. I have a thyroid condition, which is located in the same general area, and my mom is thinking that could be it. But to make sure i am seeing a doctor next week about it. Any other ideas about what this can be caused by?

I agree with your mom its probaly Goit which is swelling of the thyroid gland you should see your doctor asap, if you have trouble breathing go to ER. The only other thing it could be is a allergic reation to something
It's probably the thyroid condition. I sort of had that feeling, and mine was because of allergies. I had a tight feeling in my upper chest, and when I would eat, a sort of knot or tight spot in my throat.
