Can you go in a tanning bed for 30 minutes?!

Question: If you already have a base tan, and your dark complected anyway (and not fair skin) yes you can go for 30 minutes. I have been in for 40 (2-20 min. ones). I own my own wolf bed, so no one is liable for me though. If you are going to a salon they will not let you stay in more than 20 minutes. I'll give you some advice on the accelerators, they help and work great out in the sun's UV rays, but in a bed it is blocking you from getting any darker than you are, or slowing down your tan. A tanning bed tans from the inside out, that's why your first trip you don't look too dark. The sun tan's from the outside in because the otter layers of skin is what the sun is beaming down on. The ultimate tan is achieved by using a bed and the sun, you get both and all the layers of skin are getting darker. But when you get up after being in the bed do you see lotion greasy or smeared on the bed? If so, you see what I mean, that's blocking some UV you could be getting! Good luck on the tan, remember not to over do it, either way too much can cause skin cancer, just be careful. I keep a good tan just by going in it once a month now, and I stay darker than most, so I am happy. The more bulbs in a bed help you too, mine is a 24 bulb. I don't know how old you are, but buying one if you use them a lot is a good investment, this is my second one, and I have never had to replace bulbs, and had it 10 years about, looks brand new on the inside! Got tired of paying 30-50.00 a month to someone else. everyone wants to be your friend then, though, lol-true really! They set up a payment plan that is about what you pay for unlimited at a salon a month!

theoretically you could if you're tan enough not get burnt, but you really shouldn't.

Well, if you are really tan, maybe, but it doesn't take more than 10 or 15 usually. And NEVER do it if there are new bulbs.

Try self tanning lotion instead...much better for you.

Not at first. You start out with about 15 minutes and build up to longer times. I highly recommend avoiding it, though.

Sure can its all up to you if it is your first time i would recommend 15.min just in case the bulbs are new. When I changed the bulbs in mine I made the mistake of laying for my normal 30 min and got kind burned. And I tanned regularly at home!
