Does it hurt more when you get out of bed in the morning and when you've been sitting for a while and get up? It sounds like it could be plantar faciitis which is an inflammation of the fascia. Freeze a bottle of water and roll it under your foot for 10 mins at a time, as much as possible throughout the day (particularly if its sore at that time) This will bring the inflammation down. If its still sore after 2 weeks of doing this you need to see a podiatrist to get a pair of orthotics (insoles) made for you.
Edit: The fascia runs the length of your foot. Be more specific where the pain is.
You could have a condition called "Plantar Fascitis". Look it up. It's where the fascia on the bottom of the foot becomes inflammed. It can be very painful. I would reccommend seeing an orthopaedic doctor or a poditrist (foot Dr.).
