Possible OD of Valium?!

Question: Yesturday, around 5 or so, a friend of mine was given Valium by another friend of mine. I'm not sure how much he took as it was crunched up. Today I called his dad around 3:30 and he was still out of it. He'll stand up and try to walk but fall, his speech is slurred, too.

First of all, it's a crime to give someone else your prescription medication, and it's dangerous. The person taking the medication may have allergies, be taking other medication or other things that might cause a bad interaction.

If your friend is still out of it, he should definitely be taken to the emergency room. The valium may not have made his condition worse. Whatever reason that he took the valium in the first place might just be worse and the valium masked the symptoms.

I can't say one way or the other and neither can anyone else online. The only way to know what's going on with your friend is to have a doctor examine him.

In any case, he should NEVER take prescription drugs from a friend. One or both of them could be arrested.
