Is this related to my sprain ankle?!

Question: So I sprained my ankle 9 days ago and I went to a podiatrist and he gave me an ankle brace and said i shouldnt use the crutches so much...and I was thinking "well that doesnt sound smart, but, ok."
So yesterday I went to school without the crutches and I was limping and it took me like 5 minutes to get across the hall. And it wasnt just pain, it was EXCRUCIATING PAIN.
So as I sat down in math class I was like laying my head on my desk and all of the sudden I became very dizzy. I almost fell out of the chair! The whole room was like spinning, and the words on my paper blurred together. It was really weird. And when I stood up it hurt really really bad.

Was this dizziness linked to me not using the crutches(and my ankle)?

Yes it could be from your sprained ankle! But because you didn't use your crutches and you were limping all over school most probably tired you and you just got really dizzy. That happened to me when I hyper extended my foot and ankle but I was in the mall. Because I don't go to school I'm home schooled but that happened to me. But when you are at school bring your crutches with you and keep a bottle of water with you to so this doesn't happen again! Hope I helped.

could be. you should ask a doctor. mabye a diffrent one since your doc told you to not wear crutches

I would say that it's very possible, considering that the pain was in your ankle. Excruciating pain can have that effect on people. I would suggest that you see a doctor ASAP and use your crutches in the meantime. You may have done further damage to your ankle.

uhh no you were just dizzy, go get checked out by the doctor, but it isnt from not using your ankle.. i've sprained my ankle really bad while running where i couldnt use it either but it didnt hurt that bad to walk? sure your not just dramatic? as my family would tell me.. suck it up princess

i dont really know but this does not sound good..you should go to the doctor as soon as possible

The excruciating pain may have caused the dizziness. Your blood pressure may have increased due to the pain that you were feeling. Your heart pumped more blood because of the adrenaline your body produced after the pain you felt. Then, when you sat down, your blood pressure dropped quickly and that could have caused the dizziness. I'm not a doctor, but that's my opinion. Contact your Drs office. Hope it helps. :)
