Answers: Also have you ever tried a light box and found it beneficial.?

Chocolate and watching comedies. I don't own a light box but i saw one in... Debenhams i think and it cheered me up

No. Just remember that its only a few weeks until Spring.

I create something to look forward to.

I take vitamin D tablets. The ones I take are from Boots and are vitamin D with calcium and vitamin K. Apparently the vitamin K help you to absorb the vitamin D, which is found in sunshine. It is thought that vitamin D might help with the prevention of breast cancer.

I order from plant/flower catalogs and look forward to Spring:-)

Natural light is better, so even if its a bit dull get outside as much as you can. Ive heard theyre good, but I think theyre still quite expensive.

Hi, I go for a tan. It's about $10 for 15 mins of warmth and light. Kind of like a mini-vacation. You can also try a massage. That's between $50 & $100 hour though.

I suffer from depression and SAD, I have found that when i'm working on my cross stitch I use a daylight bulb to give a better light on my sewing, for some reason I always feel better, perhaps it's something to do with the blue light or the heat that comes off it, but it seems to work for me.

Many psychologists actually treat these "winter blues" as an actual depression. They suggest going to rooms or places with a lot of light. Brght lights and "Light therapy" are known to aleviate depression. Also, listening to happy songs and singing along is a good way to refocus the mind on up beat things.

I try to watch comedies and set up movie dates with friends.

luck!

Lol my friends always cheer me up and allot of the friends i have made on here :)

THIS IS DUE TO LOW LEVEL OF SUNLIGHT AND LOW AMOUNT OF MELATONIN BECAUSE OF LOW SUNLIGHT.

THIS IS VERY COMMON AND CALLED Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) - Some people who experience recurring episodes of depression show a seasonal pattern known as seasonal affective disorder (SAD). SAD is a major depression that occurs in the fall or winter when the amount of sunlight is limited. In SAD, the depression goes away once the seasons turn again in the spring. SAD is more common in northern climates and in younger people.

BEST SOLUTION: GO TO VACATION OR PLACE WHERE THERE IS A LOT OF SUNSHINES (FL, CA ETC)

Live in a place (San Diego) where there's sun year round!

Count the days towards spring and remember Easter is early this year so more days off to look forward to!!!!
