i am the same way. yes theres a disorder called SAD, seasonal affection disorder or something. you can get like sun-imitating lights and stuff to help you feel better.

Do you live in an area where your winter days are especially short? There have been studies done in Scandinavian countries where winter days are extremely short that shows that lack of sunlight can bring on depression and other mood disorders. Even if the days are not really short, if there are more days with cloud cover or other sunlight blocking weather, for instance fog, then that has the same effect. I think when you add to it the fact that unless you are a big winter sport fanatic, you are stuck indoors, you can definitely get a really bad case of the winter blahs. My aunt gets it bad enough that she takes anti-depressants. A simple remedy that may help is an ultra violet lamp that simulates the suns light. Sitting under it for 20-30 minutes a day should help. St. John's Wort supplements may also help. Talk to your doctor if you feel really bad.
