It's Hard For Me To Sleep, Because I Feel My Pulse Against My Pillow?!

Question: When I go to sleep, it's hard to sleep because I can feel my heartbeat against my pillow. I get REALLY tired, and I try not to think of it, but I keep feeling it. What can I do? I only got like 5 hours of sleep last night.

Do what I sometimes do -- sleep with earplugs on. I slumber into deep REM sleep whenever I use em. Use the orange plugs. I think they are called MAX or Howard Leight hearing protection. Your ears might hurt a little after the first few days but after continuous use you get used to em.

Stop thinking about it. Its psychological. Listen to soft music and think of your future or something in bed.

This seems to only happen when you lie on one side, try sleeping on the other side.

You could have what is commonly referred to as bounding arteries, or arrhythmia. It could also be stress related. If it doesn't go away soon, I'd see my Physician immediately.

Change the pillow case fabric off your pillow may help.
