It sounds about right. You probably have been in a cast for about 6 weeks, in which that time you have probably had to keep completely off it and use crutches. The sudden strain of having weight put back on the leg is probably causing a bit of pain. You wouldnt have used to muscle in the calves and thighs and wouldnt have been able to move the ankle around. The pain should probably subside in the next week or so when the leg and ankle begins to get used to being used again. When my mum broke her leg she was limping for quite a while after she got her cast off. If the pain hasnt gone in a week or so, consult your doctor. You need to be doing some exercises with your ankle such as rolling it around when you are sitting down. Move it up and down. Try gently placing your weight on that leg and foot. Take it slow and try to not push yourself too hard on that one leg.

go and see a physiotherapist - they'll give you exercises to strengthen your leg and get the muscles working again.

it'll take a few more weeks for you to be able to walk on it normally. if you can't see a physio do really gentle exercises with it - like just rolling it one way, then the other, then all the way around etc.

from memory i think it took me 3 weeks before my leg was back to normal after i broke it.
