Percocet or loratab?!
Question: ok my husband is in severe pain in his lower back and after talking to two diffent hospitals they have decided to give him some steriods for the nerves. but i was asking about giving him one of my pain relievers...i dont know which one would be better to give him though, percocet or loratab. he already took ONE tylenol 3 yesterday and it didnt do anything at all for him. so my question is which pill should i give him. which one is stronger cause i would rather start out with the lesser of the two and see if that works and then go to the stronger of the two. thanks in advance

The Pecocet is much stronger. You really shouldn't be sharing the meds, but I understand. The loratab will help with the pain. The best thing after that is to have him lay still, with warm or hot compresses on his back. Back pain is THE WORST, you can't breath, sneeze, blink, without wanting to scream. The best thing I found that worked for me, was to take 3 ibuprofen and one extra strength Tylenol. You can only do this for a few days, because it can really mess up your liver,but it is what I use when my back was hurt so badly I couldn't move.
With nerve pain, it is hard to find something to work for the pain.
So, to answer your question...the Percocet is much stronger than the loratab.
