Whiteness on throat; picture of throat....PLEASE HELP!?!

Question: Long story, and I've been posting a lot. Anyway, what do the white patches on the side of my throat look like?

Note: NO tonsils (they've been gone since I was about three)

(Picture isn't gross...I promise)

It used to burn, but stopped after antibiotic.

I took the antibiotics (500mg 3 times a day of Cephalaxin), but all it did was make it go away for a bit, it gave me throat ulcers, and made the roof of my mouth turn yellow...and it gave me a vaginal yeast infection. White went away for a bit after last day of antibiotics (which was Christmas), but it's coming back.

I've been to the dr. 3 times, no one has taken a throat culture.

What does it look like? Or is it normal and has it always been there and I just never noticed. Whatever it is, it is the same sign that I went to the dr. for...

I'm stressed! Help!

I had this before and the Dr said it was yeast infection and gave me antibiotics and it went away for a while. When it came back he said it was thrush and gave me a mouth wash, can't remember the name,. but it hasn't returned since. Ask your doctor to do a throat culture and what the name of the mouth wash is. Good luck

It's probably thrush - a yeast infection of the mouth. Babies often get it from antibiotics. I'd call my doctor and ask what to do about it. Also try ingesting alot of probiotic food/supplements.

The white or pale areas may be scar tissue from your tonsillectomy. However, you may also have thrush. Please return to your health care provider. Print this picture out and show them your area of concern. Let them know that the symptoms have returned and request a throat culture.

Well to me it sounds like you have Candida.

Candida is a yeast like fungi that is very hard to get rid of. If I'm looking at your picture right too, your tongue looks a little "coated" to me. Another sign of Candida. You said that you've been on antibiotics (am I to assume move than a few rounds?) and have had a yeast infection. Let me ask, do you often crave sweets, breads, yeast-y things, alcohol? Do you have weird skin patches that pop up or go away without warning? Do you feel kinda "spacey" most of the time? Do you not sleep well? Do you have weird aches and pains that also seem to come and go as they please?
If you said yes to any of these, or even just the first two, it might be Candida. Google it or whatever, but it can be hard to get rid of. You have to follow a diet and everything which is very hard, but well worth it! Let me know if you have any more questions.

Looks normal to me.
