What causes bruises?!

Question: I have like 8 bruises on my legs, hips and arms, and they've been there since last week. One is really bad, and I don't have any idea what they could be from... is there any cause for bruises, like a vitamin deficiency or something? Besides bumping into something, what could be causing all these bruises?

Any help appreciated.

What happens with a bruise is that, when you bump up your leg, it causes the blood vesils inside to break so you pretty much are bleeding inside you leg. That is why it appears a purply red colour. When the bruise turns to brown, green or yellow it means the blood has started to rot and is dissapearing from under your skin.

bruises are caused by the bursting of blood vessels near the surface of the skin. Besides bumping you might get it from overworking your muscles and putting stress on your legs or arms.

Hi, there can be a number of things causing the bruises. I was anemic. I went to the doc and had simple blood tests and found the problem and fixed it and I feel much better to. Good luck

Yes, there are certain vitamin deficiencies that can cause one to bruise easily. Don't take my word for it, but I think vitamin K is one of them.

If the bruises don't start healing up, see a doctor: There are other conditions that can cause bruising too.

Good luck!
