It's okay. How is the rest of your foot?

The bottom half of the toenails, closer to the nail bed were mainly affected by the trauma caused by the bowling ball. Your toenails will be fine in time. That is blood built up under the nail. As the nail grows, healthy new nail will emerge and the damaged nail will grow out to the end and eventually disappear. They probably will not fall off.

If you have other problems, let a doc look at your foot.

sucks for you
and yes

if it is half then it is likely to be less painful

i have had that happen to my finger drop a weight on it and it went purple well the nail did

ahhh my friend dropped a bowling ball on my foot back in 5th grde, hurt so bad. go to the doctor.

Oowweeeeee. It might fall off indeed! More than likely...

you will just have to Waite and see

They will probably fall off, but that's ok. Drink lots of beers for a couple of weeks, and you will be ok. Watch out for bowling balls !

OUCH
sorry you got hurt !
they will grow out eventually, parts may or may not fall off, and it will be a slow process
use a clear nail hardener on the damaged nails & take calcium with vitamin D

you do know ur supposed to stick your fingers in the holes, right?

put ice on it and talk to your doctor

Ice ice ice. If they aren't swollen now, they will be. Just keep it cool, and you should be fine. If it doesn't get at least somewhat better in a day (it still might take a few days), see a doctor. As long as you can move your toes and walk okay, you should be fine. The feet are remarkably tough - just remember, they support your entire weight every day!

You'll just have to wait and see. it depends - so you won't find out until it grows.
Don't keep on dropping your bowling balls- its not good for you!!

The bottom half is where it attaches, they will soon fall off...Unlucky you!

I wouldn't worry about it that much. They'll probably heal within a few days. Unless you feel extremely uneasy about it, don't really let it bother you. If it does get worse call your doctor and don't wait for someone on the internet to answer it.

try tennis the balls are lighter ;-)

yes it will. my mom dropped a cinder block on her big toe and its kind of ugly compared to the other one (but not terrible) and it happened when i was a little kid! it'll fall off, and i'm warning you the tender skin under there will HURT LIKE HELL if you dont put a BANDAID over it immediatly when it falls off. my mom said it hurt to have air touch it lol. and then the bruise'll heal and it'll be all fine and good again. mind you the nail will look slightly different from the last one that fell off but whatever.

it'll probably go away

Did it break it?

They probably will fall off from the trauma. You could have a doctor pierce a hole in the nail to help drain the blood from it. Hopefully your toes feel better soon.
