you need about 9 hours of sleep

7 in general, for your age I recommend 8

you should nap in the afternoon

9 or 10 hours

5-8 hours

8 hrs

Beling as young as you are you should be getting at least 8 hours every night. When you are a little older it will go up to about 10. Your body needs the sleep because that is when you grow.

At your age... I'd say at LEAST 8 hours a night ... up to 10... you can get 10 on weekends.... what is bothering you? Maybe you need to talk to a trusted adult.... sounds like you have insomnia which is usually caused by emotional distress.... I wish you well.

The amount of sleep that you require is generally the amount of rest your brain requires. As a 12 years old, you should sleep at least 6 hours a day. But saying that I have been sleeping for an average of 4 hours for the last 15 years. I am now 30.

normally you should get 8 hours but
you one cycle of sleep is really all you need so 4 hours can work.
this however affects you in the long run because long sleeps helps you grow and you start getting acne faster if you don't sleep as much

You generally need between 7 and 8 hours, keeping odd hours can cause premature heart problems in the future. Not only can lack of sleep make you sick, I mean vomiting, headaches, fever, the whole nine yards, but it makes it harder to retain information, cause you to be more stressed and irritable. Those are just a few examples of problems that can arise from lack of sleep.

At your age you should be getting around 9 to 11 hours of sleep for a 24 hour period. That means you shouldn't worry about getting enough sleep at night. If you take naps during the day that should make up for any sleep you haven't gotten.

Eating, excersing, and sleeping is very important for someone your age. You need to be able to get enough of that to help build a healthy immune system.

u should sleep for 8 hours a day. being 12 u will be very active and involed in all activities. u will be dead tired. by sleeping u will be relaxed. now u will see no difference but it will affect u in the future. u will become very tired .

You need more sleep kid. I am a polysomnographic technologist (means I watch people sleep for a living). At age 12 you should have 10-12 hours of sleep a night, 8 hours for a bare minimum. Let me explain some about sleep- There are 5 stages of sleep. stage 1, 2, 3 and 4 (called DELTA sleep or SLOW WAVE SLEEP) and REM sleep(RAPID EYE MOVEMENT) You need acertain amount of each sleep stage to be healthy, think clearly and GROW. A t your age, your growth is the thing that worries me most with you not sleeping much. Your body send out growth hormones only when you are asleep. MINIMAL SLEEP=MINIMAL GROWTH. If you have difficulty sleeping you need to speak to your pediatrician about it. Some kids eat to much sugar and take in too much caffiene. Some kids have specific sleep diseases like sleep apnea (google it) but in a nutshell it means you stop breathing during your sleep. It can be because you have a lot of excess tissue in your airway- i.e. you are overweight OR you have large tonsils, adnoids, glands, etc. It is worth getting checked out. It could make you feel a whole lot better. People can get USED to running on only a little sleep but it does eventually catch up with you- you have a decreased immunity to disease causing germs. You tend to have more problems with others- social interactions etc. Feel free to email me directly if you have any further concerns/questions about sleep.
