Why does society pay rescue cost for lost hikers and mountain climbers?!

Question: but refuse to provide health care to someone with a terminal illness?

Answers: but refuse to provide health care to someone with a terminal illness?

We recognize that death is a cost to society, but we value corporate profits more.

Why does our society do a lot of things? Because it's run by people who are stupid.

Rescue, what is rescue? Person or people in Trouble and that extends from a major disaster to people lost on mountains. So if we have the facilities for Major Disasters in our own Countries, be it helicopters, ambulances, Mountain Rangers, we pay to train them for Major Disasters. Now we have trained them, we do what, we pay them to sit around and do nothing except wait for a Major Disaster, or we say, while you are waiting for a Major Disaster, you can rescue other people in trouble, thereby learning and gaining experience for the BIG Disaster.
As for people with a Terminal Illness, well they are Terminal, so we cannot cure them, so what can we do? Care, many people I know who have been diagnosed with a Terminal Illness, usually Cancer age 30 to 70 do not want care, they want pain relief so that they can enjoy what time they have left, fit in as much as they can and then die. Health Care? No they just want pain relief the old 'Quality of Life vs Quantity of Life issue'.
