Everything we ingest goes thru our bowels. It is just absorbed at different rates as it passes thru. And the water that makes you wee, as gone thru the kidneys first to be filtered. So everything you eat or drink, follows thru your digestive systems first, then what your body doesn't use is passed thru as waste. Hope this helps. Good luck with your test.

The fluids we drink go through our intestines and are there absorbed into your bloodstream. At that point the fluid is filtered out by your kidneys....making you have to pee.

With a colonoscopy you've less time to absorb the liquids. The "higher up" the ostomy is the more "liquidy" your stool will become.

Some of it will go through the bowels; some will go through the kidneys. The liquid for the colonoscopy will definitely go through the bowels.
