Headache advice please , serious question?!

Question: I've had a headache for 4 days and pills havent helped.

I know you'll probably say 'go to the gp' but I feel silly going to the GP for a headache, plus you can never get an appointment for weeks anyway, so I thought I'd see if anyone has any other advice.

many thanks

Make an appointment to see your doctor. In the meantime take 2 paracetamol and 2 ibuprofen - these can be taken safely together. Lie down in a dark, cool room with a cold wet flannel on your head and try to sleep it off. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water as dehydration can result in headaches. Also, do you have any gas heating, fires or cookers in your house? If so get a carbon monoxide detector. carbon monoxide poisoning manifests as headaches, nausea and sleepiness.

I hope you begin to feel better soon xx

go and see your doctor.

tea, taking a walk, resting...

get your eyes tested....... eye strain can lead to massive headaches............. also if you have long hair dont tie it back

sorry , you really need to see your GP it could be very serious! Blood clots , internal bleeding , vision problems etc.

Dont want to scare you but you really do need to see your GP (or your could try A&E at the hospital)

What are you worrying about ? this could just be stress.GO TO THE DOCTORS,

stop stareing at your computer.sit back from the telly and stop masterbating over granny porn when its to dark to see the pictures properly.or try ice!

Most headaches are due to that eating enough carbs. I take advil it helps a lot. Go for a walk or just go out, get your mind of the headache.

Make sure you're drinking enough water, 1 oz. of water for every 2 lbs. of body weight per day, more if you're exercising.
Find someone to massage your neck and scalp or try to do it yourself. You could also try rubbing the webbing between your thumb and index finger and the tips of your toes.

No, definitley go to your doctor if you haven't got rid of it by now. They can give you something to get rid of it and check that it isn't something serious. You should get your eyes checked though, becuse it could be something as simple as eyestrain. And try not to stay on the computer too long, that could make it worse!
Hope it goes well for you.

dark, quiet room and meditate

have an orgasm. it increases oxygen and opens up the blood vessels.

It's probably a migrain so you probably should go and see the doctor. However i'm no expert.

Every now and again, I get a blinding headache that lasts for days. It is absolute agony - I feel slightly heady (dizzy), slightly nauseuos (but am never sick) and the pain is terrible. Quite often but not all the time, it coincides with my period - known as a menstrual migraine. You must remember that 99.99% of headaches are completely innocent and nothing serious. I have visited the doctor so many times with headaches - there is nothing they can do. However, if you loose your balance, vomit or have blurred vision or speech you must go to the GP. I have recently gone to the GP to get some tablets specifically for migraines so I have them for my next one - just to see if they work as normal pain killers just don't even take the edge off. My doctor said that aspirin is the best thing to take for bad headaches - she advised to take three at the same time but DO NOT take them if you have an ulcer or other stomach problems. I shall also try that the next time. I really do sympathise as I have suffered with terrible headaches for years and years. Also, remember to drink lots of water.

hi!.. why not to try acupuncture treatment, it can treat both spiritual and physical aspects, the root and the branch and tremendously effective for pain, you will get no choice but get better!
