Depends on the location and how long it will take. Yes, it hurts really really bad. I feel like it was kind of like being stung by a hornet repeatedly in the same area. Then they spray that germicidal antiseptic on it, that pain is off the charts.
But you will be okay, make sure the needles are clean. They are prepared for clients to pass out.
depends where u get it... on a bony area or if your really skinny, it will hurt more than a more fleshy part of your body. also the number of needles and type of gun and how hard they dig is a factor..
It really depends on the location of the tattoo and each person's sensitivity to pain. I got a tattoo on my shoulderblade last year. The part that's closer to my neck and shoulder hurt a little more than the middle of my back. I'd compare it to a cat scratch or a sunburn, like a stinging sensation. It's a dull pain really, whereas a piercing is a sharp pain. Don't let the pain deter you from getting a tattoo because it's really not bad at all.
I have three and yes it hurt, but i could deal with it. I have had kids so my pain tolerance is high... i didnt think i was gonna die from the pain with the tats, but i definitely knew it was happening,.... I hope this helps....
The only way I could explain the pain is imagine someone dragging a sewing needle across your skin. It does hurt but not horribly.
It depends a lot on the placement of it, different parts of the body are more sensitive to pain. It also depends on your pain threshold and the artist, It is bearable though. I think it feels like a mild burning pain.
Like everyone else says, it really does depend on where you get it, how big it is, and how heavy-handed your artist is.
Most of mine were kinda like the equivalent of a cat scratch on sunburn as far as pain goes, but the one on the back of my neck hurt like hell because of all the nerves back there.
