Am I kidding myself?!

Question: My grand father had a fall tuesday and was hospitalized he went from a normal person who had a small disability from a stoke to someone in the hospital who is confused, can't walk, wearing depends, can't feed themselves, can't talk chocking on everything put into his mouth. The doctors seemed to think that it was his meds resbidol she took him off of it and he is getting worse. They were origanilly saying he would get better and i belived it. Now they are not saying anything about what's wrong. What should I think? Should I prepare myself that he won't be ok? Any advice about what could be wrong?

I am so very sorry hun..try to hang in there. My father in law and grandfather, had something similar happen. They ended up attributing it to a series of small/mini strokes.

As far as what you should think..that is a tough one when it is someone you are close to. You can NEVER prepare yourself that things will not be ok...no matter what the prognosis is.

Again, I am soo very sorry. Prayer is what ended up helping me through the toughest times with my grandfather and father's illness.

pray for him! and do some reaserch on the sideaffects of the meds! you may have a lawsuit if the meds are ressponsible for this !

well one stay positive..... be there for him.... if anything he just aspirated on something ... maybe he has pheumoina... or maybe the docs don't know yet? i would just stay calm and be patient.... i know its hard but its better then scaring your self into something that might not happen...

they always say hope for the best but plan for the worst. definitely research the meds if they could be responsible. my mother suffered two massive strokes when i was 14 and for a while she was like your grandfather is now, but after a while she did get better. so there is hope.

get 2nd opinoin now my man is a health aid and he said a specaillist out side of nursing home he will be fine just get second doctor wish you luck
