How hard can you hit your head without worrying about brain damage?!

Question: If you are worrying about brain damage then u are probably fine

Answers: If you are worrying about brain damage then u are probably fine

Too many variables. Was the head hit with a wood baseball bat or did it hit concrete? Where on the head was it hit at? Temple? If there, not good. Behind the ear, not good either. Is there any swelling? Is the one who got hit conscious? Or out cold?
Overall any injury to the head regardless of how minor should be checked out by a Doctor. A qualified professional. Not some of the people you might find here.

ummm don't do it and you'll be safe! I hope you don't mean you're doing it on purpose, it sounds that way in the way you worded it...there are just so many weird questions. Sorry no offense if you didn't mean that!!

Anyway, if you have a concussion-fall asleep and can't wake up(it's best to have someone be with you if at all possible that first day and overnight) have it checked by the doctor or go to the hospital. Or if you start experiencing any signs of dizziness, loss of memory, or you start talking weird.

In terms of babies under 18 months hitting their head or shaking them can cause brain damage because the skull is not fully closed together. So always have a doctor check them out.

Hitting your head can cause damage a number of ways. You can have a concussion (get knocked out temporarily) which makes your brain a lot more vulnerable to damage from further hits. You can have accumulation of blood inside your head which can sometimes happen slowly and can cause damage by increasing pressure inside the head. You can have a skull fracture which can sometimes be depressed (pushed into the brain). Brain damage can take a very long time to recover from and the recovery may not be complete. It is impossible to gage how hard a hit your brain can take without sustaining significant damage. Playing around with blows to the head is very unwise and likely to cause neurological deficits that will last for life. Don't take the chance. Be careful. Wear a helmet.

well with your padded walls, i think your fine.
