Honestly, people who tell you to apply toothpaste are morons and obviously have no qualifications in first aid at all. I was never advised to tell people to apply toothpaste to their burns when i did my course. The only thing that will really work is cool water. It seems as though you have been doing that for quite a while and it still seems to be burning. Its not a severe burn because you would be seeing some sort of blistering or welting if it were. Burns do sting like hell. I must say that. Even if they are minor burns, they tend to hurt alot. Try putting some ice in a bag and then putting a little water in there as well. Then wrap the bag in a teatowel. You can rest this on your hand whilst you try to sleep. Also take some panadol or some ibuprofen. If there is any swelling ibuprofen tends to reduce this a little and panadol can make the pain more managable. As i have not seen the burn myself i cannot really tell you about the severity of it, but lets just say if it is hurting still in the next 12 hours, go and see a doctor, because it may have been burnt more seriously then once thought.

Take an aloe leaf and cut it down the middle and then tape it on the burn. If you don't have any, try putting ice on it til your ready for bed then while it's still numb, try and fall asleep!

I really doubt he has an aloe leaf on hand. Try using an Aloe Vera Gel, usually for sunburns and minor burns and rub it into the burned spot up to three or four times a day for some relief. In the mean time you can put a cold pack covered by a towl on the burn spot to help with the throbbing.

You can also take ibuprofen or similar for the pain relief.

maybe you could wrap it up in a cool towel. There are also special gels for burns. Eventually though, it will go away. Oh yeah and vaseline gel is also good for it.

don't apply any thing and don't think about it , or mix some salt with drops of water and apply it on the effected area then apply bandage it will stop the skin from expanding and getting water bubble. it works with me and sorry if it didn't work for you.

They have a medical spray you can buy at the pharmacy just over the counter stuff that is very similar to the stuff we use on our ambulance. I have bought some just for our house cause I have 2 children and is a good thing to keep around. It's just a burn spray, it takes away some of the pain. If the burn didn't blister you have a first degree burn, and any degree of burn hurts like hell. I feel your pain trust me. But if you can get this spray it's only a few dollars and keep a bandage on your burn for the first day or two it will really help. I hope you feel better I have been there before too. Ice does seem to hurt for some reason and cold water will due the trick along with aloe for sunburns and first degree burns such as this, but I do suggest that spray! Good Luck!

i would suggest the aloe leave.

cold water is the best your doc will tell you that
