I'm so uptight and can't seem to relax...any ideas,on how i can relax?!
Question: I always need to have done something active before I can relax. If I know I would like to take a nap later in the day I make sure to work out so I am able to relax. You may know this already but sleeping is the best time to rejuvanate muscle. If you work out before you relax, your body will want to wind down.
You might also want to look at your diet. For example, big caffeine drinkers (coffee, soda, etc.) often have trouble winding down when they want to. Just a thought.
The other thing I do is get a massage. You'll walk out of there more relaxed than you ever ahve been.
Good luck

Any or all of the following:
Get a massage
Take a long, hot bubblebath
Have a toe-curling orgasm
Have a good, stiff drink...and then another
Listen to some soothing music
Drinking Alcohol to help you relax may lead to more problems. But the other recommendations listed above may be of help, as will deep breathing. Also, it is important to find out WHY you are so up-tight. Then you can start working on eliminating the cause of the problem. Look of "relaxation techniques" on line. (see web site below) Good Luck.
