Would a slipped disc also make my left kneecap swell up and cause considerable p!

Question: Have had back surgery 5 years ago but still having problems.

Answers: Have had back surgery 5 years ago but still having problems.

I would say no, as I have two prolapsed discs at the bottom of my spine and my knee caps are fine! when i can see em lol.

Also people that have the back op always say it comes back and my brothers did also but usually worse after! So leaving mine alone like my doc told me too hehe.

If I were you I would check with your doctor as to what could be causing the knee thing!
Good luck.

No, that's a damaged cartilage in your knee. The good news is that knees are easier to cure than backs.

If you are compensating for your pain in your back by walking awkwardly to ease the pain in your back , then this could cause pain and inflammation to occur in your knee

I have had an exploding disc which had to be removed. It left me with pain in my right knee (but not the kneecap, just to the outside of it) and a swelling does appear when it's at its worst. I also have a painful swelling ankle on my left leg. I have been told by the consultant that it is referred pain and all to do with my back. I'd check with my GP if I were you. It could be to do with the way you are walking to compensate your back.

Newgran has the right answer. I dislocated my left knee when I was younger and to 'right' myself, I leant on my right leg more which in turn has damaged my right knee. It's just what happens when we shift our posture after we do damage to ourselves.

could be cartilage problems . arthritis if swelling really bad see doctor telegenic not sure about spelling trade name vitriol tablets may help vitriol is also available in cream
but don't use both not suitable if you suffer from asthma
