Can the computer cause my migraines?!

Question: I get a migraine everyday and if it isnt a migraine it is a headache. I never in my life have like taking pills and dont want to start now but sometimes it is really bad to the point I dont want to be around my kids and that isnt fair to them. I never got migraines before, very rarely! and I got a new job about 3 months or so ago and so they started. My job involves 8 hours of my computer. Can a computer be the cause or do you think it is something else?

I had severe migraines once a month or more and didnt know why. I often had to visit the emergency room to get a shot to make it stop. I found that my migraines were caused by a compound caled sulfites(sodium sulfite, bisulfite, metabisulfite) added to food and drink to prevent mold and to maintain whiteness in foods. This is a list of foods that contain these compounds:
Lemon juice concentrate-"Real Lemon"
coconut
wines
horseradish
frozen/previously frozen seafood
chinese food
This is not a complete list, but check ingredient labels and see if any of these ingredients are in the food item. I find that lemon juice concentrate is used in lot of sauces, dressings and baked foods. This causes me terrible migraines with the light fractals, nausea, and other symptoms. Google the words "migraine and sulfites " you'll be glad you did.

If you are not used to being on a computer 8 hours a day, you could have eye strain which could lead to headaches. It is possible that there is another cause, so you should ask your doctor.

I think it culd be, electrical energy waves can agitate a persons mood and physical state, i'd change my job, Good Luck * *

Staring at the monitor is the number one cause of office headaches.
The combination of florescent lights, a bright screen and prolonged concentration is the best way to bring on a headache. I know, because I get them too.

Being on a computer for so long can certainly cause bad headaches! Maybe you should try resting your eyes for a few minutes every few hours at work. Try using eye gel patches (or something similar) to soothe them. Your headaches/migranes may be caused by other things, such as fatigue or stress, but being on a computer for so long doesn't help!

i think its the brightness of the computer or your sitting to close, i suggest turning down the brightness, and dont just sit there in pain, i suggest tylonel or advil, two pills and some cold water, you should be fine ^_^

i think it is b/c you sit there for a long time looking at the screen and that tires out your brain+your eyes. i get a migraine everyday too and the doctor said i was absolutely fine. aparently im not if i get one evryday..dont worry its not too bad tkaing pills.. =] ive been taking at least one per day for like 8 years.

Yes it can.

Pl try simple acupressure given below for immediate relief.
If it fails you will have to go for Acupuncture.

There is hardly any medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA, Back ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.

Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes.
None of them can be treated with medicine.
Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.

Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.

Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, tension, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.

Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.

But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.

If it is acute pl search a painful point (with round tipped pen/jimmy) 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

For forehead/eye pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.

It may disappear naturally too.
