Prednisolone for strained muscle?!

Question: I was given prednisolone for a strained muscle in my back yesterday. I have been searching for some information regarding the effectiveness of this med for this problem. Can any of you tell me more about it? I am a bit afraid to take it, as I have never taken a steroid before.

I took it recently myself for a strained muscle. It really DOES work. I had alot of questions for the doctor myself and I found out it was a good medicine. It will not make you fat if you take it temperarely. Don't be afraid. If you need to know more, go to google and check it out!
