From smoking to dipping to nothing??!


Question: Before starting to dip I smoked 3 packs of smoke every 12 hours I was awake and after 10 yrs of this I suffered some serious health consequences. Close to 2 yrs ago Is when I made the switch to chewing tobacco. The first year or so I went through between 10-12 cans per month but I have been able to cut down to 2-4 cans per month now..
I keep thinking since I'm down that low I should be able to just quit. I often keep the same pinch of copenhagen in for 5-6 hours and I know theres part of that time the nicotine release is minimal or non existant. If I am awake I have a pinch in though. I think I may be ok using some kind of filler to sooth the mind hang up of not having something there to slow down and maybe even stop. What has worked for you other dippers out there?

There are a number of non-tobacco chews available and I've known several people who have quit tobacco using them. Google "herbal chew" and take you pick.

Sorry not a dipper! Maybe you can try those nicotine patches? I hear they work pretty good if you don't cheat yourself.
