You cannot inherit an injury which would cause pain, but you can inherit some syndromes and connective tissue disorders which might lead to chronic joint and back pain. If you and multiple members of your family have multiple joint pains without a significant history of injury, then see a physician for diagnostic testing for one of these disorders.

Additionally, the behavioral conditioning which occurs in families related to pain coping mechanisms and stress and pain management skills would be generalized within a family unit. Therefore, if the parents had low levels of pain tolerance, and it is seen as normal in the family to complain of pain, then it may be more common for people in that family unit to complain of pain. The level of pain perceived to be severe is conditioned to some extent. This is one of the reasons why many chronic pain patients can be taught behavioral techniques to manage their pain issues.

Perception of pain maybe hereditary, not pain itself. Grow some nads dude.

I don't think pain itself is hereditary but if your parents are overweight and so are you, that could be the problem. If not, I don't really know what else it could be other than a coincidence.

I don't think so. Pain is usually caused by injury/trauma. I hope this helped.

Pain is not hereditary, but weak joints may. Are you very active in sports? You may just need to recover from an injury.

OR if you're dehydrated or have a potassion deficiency that can cause muscular pain. A doctor would be best equipped to answer this type of question.

You're too young to be in pain! =o)

The pain is not hereditary but, the cause is usually IE: Arthritis, Rheumatism, etc.
