Some advice?!

Question: whilst i was eating steak for dinner i swallowed a piece that was too big but i thought once it was down my throat it would be fine, i carried on eating dinner and i had to run to the toilet as i was goin to be sick after that big piece of steak i cant eat or drink anything it all comes back up plus it feels like its trying to come up its self but doesnt, it does this every minute or so and its painful plus it occationally brings up flem. i thought the pain would die down after a couple of hrs as its getting digested but its been 8hrs and still the same i cant get to sleep either!!!
it doesnt restrict my breathing, it just feels like its stuck going up and down the same bit!
any advise?

i would call the hospital and talk to someone in the ER. They may want you to come in.

OK, for starters, steak isn't like fruit. Fruit is digested within 6hours. Steak takes up to 4 days to fully digest, it basically rots in your stomach. Small bites and small portions are key. The bigger pieces you eat, the longer it will take to digest.

There are a couple things going on..
1. you're actually full, but you're not taking your time eating. (it takes 20 mins before your stomach tells your brain that you are full) eat slowly, you were at dinner and obviously eating too fast.
2. cut up your steak well before eating. This makes it easier to control your bites and able to chew thoroughly.
3. You have heart burn. which is when you eat too much and your stomach acid goes up your esophagus. If it happens often, your stomach acid will burn through your esophagus resulting in surgery. An anti acid before meal that you know will trigger the heart burn (in ur case steak) will fix the problem. If it continues for a long period of time, see your doctor.
4. drink fluids to help your stomach digest the food, possible eat a slice of bread would help as well. otherwise you just have to wait it out.
