Will Ibuprofen or aspirin help with sore muscles?!

Question: I worked out the other day and now my muscles are sore. It was a couple of days when i worked out and I really dont want to screw up my schedule. So I am considering popping a couple of ibuprofen and using some Ben-Gay to help loosen things up. Do you think this will be OK?

Ibuprofen is the best thing to take. This will help with your muscle stiffness and pain because it works as an anti-imflammatory. I would stay away from aspirin.

It will help, I personally thinks Ibuprofen works better than aspirin.

sure will help... both are pain relief meds.

yes, they are both pain relievers

Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory,i'd go with that one

Ibuprofen is better. It should be fine, just don't over-do the work-out.

it should say on the bottle or package

I would use Ibuprofen it's an anti-inflammatory, where aspirin is not. Get better!

Ibuprofen should help, as it is an anti-inflammatory.

Yes.

yes both so will a warm bath soak

Ibuprofen, aka Motrin or Advil, are used for pain relief associated with swelling.

In that sense, yes, they may help. Just make sure you have food in your stomach and drink a full glass of milk or water when you take them.

It will have the desired effect (both) although they rot out your kidneys.

Want a natural pain reliever? Try fresh cherries.

Stretch, warm the muscles and get blood flowing again.

Yes- Ibruprofen is your best bet!

Ibuprofen would be great. I use it for muscle pain. Doctors commonly prescribe it as well.

you have to stretch a lot be for and a little after and i think it will help but also a hot bath some type of salt (forgot what it is called) but relax

Ibuprofin is an anti inflamitory that works much better than asprin also use a heat pad at night to relax the muscles

My mum is a nurse and when this happens to me she says just keep on using ur muscles it is an acid in your muscles Lactic acid i think that is just it reacting to your work out. it means they are getting stronger, keep on going.

Ibuprofen helps with inflammation & pain. So its good for sore muscles. you can do Ibuprofen up to 800mgs(four pills) then four hours later take acetaminaphin(tylenol) up to 800mgs. alternate between the two for severe pain. But keep your workout schedule going or you will never get anywhere if you are trying to loose weight.

I think it is ibuprofen or brufen something. couldn't collect the remember correctly. asprin for headache,if i am correct. consult doctor before applying.

Ibuprofen will stop swelling

Ibrobrufen willl help , its an anti-inflammatory, but also you could (if you have one), pop yourself into a Epsom salts bath, about 1 cup will do it, make sure water is only tepid though, this will relax the muscles, I use this method all the time. Also you could take some magnesium tablets, these also help relax muscles and help them recover, the dosage will be on the bottlle.
Good Luck!!

yes.. but you need to make sure that you do warm up exercises before working out. If the pain worsens, discontinue the workout until the ibuprofen has time to clear up the inflammation.
