Continuous knee pain...from old injury.....?!
Question: Half a year ago I injured my knee playing a game in gym class.. I went to the nurse to get ice and by the time I got home I couldn't walk on it. It kept locking so I couldn't straighten it and I went to see a doctor. He sent me to an orthopedic and he told me to go home after seeing the x-rays. 2 weeks later we went back and he still couldn't see anything and advised an MRI. He concluded that i had internal bruising. Again he said go home. It has gotten a lot better but today I was jump roping (again in gym, 45 min. periods) and it really hurt afterward. Not as much as it did 1/2 a year ago, but enough to be painful. I was more of a dull, achy pain, than a sharp one. I don't want to go see more doctors, because now I don't trust them on the matter. They are probably going to deny my pain. What do I do?

Perhaps try a different doctor, say one who specializes in sports medicine. Or you could see a physical trainer who could help you better coordinate your moves to prevent injuries -- show you how to jump correctly, keep your balance, etc. But if your pain persists, try the doctor.
