Drink a lot of water. Try eating something to give your body something to work with. Otherwise, keep typing. Try standing up every 20 min or so.

When it interferes with your work, it becomes a work-related disability like carpel-tunnel. Visit a sleep-doctor and claim it as work=related.

i noticed when i run around all day long im not tired..and when i am its a good tired...when i sit on the computer all day i get drained.. try to take breaks in between even if you are still sitting down..dont look at the screen so much because that makes your eyes close very quickly.

First off, I'm not sure the science behind it, but there is an idea out there that the sleep you get one night does not effect you the next day, but the day after that. I believe it. I have dealt with it before.

As far as staying awake for the next few hours, do something stimulating. Get some fresh air, splash some water on your face, look at an interesting (appropriate) website. You need to do something other than what you have been doing. Your brain needs to see something other than work to get going.

But when you get home, straight to bed!
