After a hand injury, the doc told me he thought my bone was?!

Question: dying and would eventually break into pieces. Then he wasn't sure anymore exactly what was wrong with my hand. He sent me to another doc who pulled really hard on my hand and stretched it bad. That was Tue. So this is early Friday morning. My hand was itching...a new symptom. I scratched it. It felt like little bitty broken bones inside the skin. Also, the back of the hand has sunken in recently.

The big doctor word is Keinbocks Disease. Does it sound like I actually have this Keinbocks Disease now? Or could all the pain and misshapen hand and itchiness be something else?

I need some enlightenment...please...

It's hard to see how a bone problem could cause itching of your skin. The sunken aspect of the problem does sound like Kienbock's disease. For some reason there is disruption of arterial blood supply to the lunate wrist bone. The bone tends to collapse and die. There are surgical treatments but they may be more effective if done early. There are orthopods who specialize in hand problems. Try to find one and keep trying until you find someone with familiarity with this rare problem.

I would go to another doctor the find one that specializes in the disease and get treatment from them. Sounds like this guy wasn't all that good if he goes pulling on a injury.

Get a MRI and see what it reveals.
